Today I came across an article from IN TOUCH MINISTRIES. I  would like to share it with you.

"THE GOD WHO REVEALS HIMSELF" :-Hebrews 1: 1-4

"People have all kinds of distorted impressions of God. As a result, their view of life is awry-- for example, they may think life is just a matter of fate. But the Lord of the universe leaves nothing to chance.

Because God wants us to approach life correctly, His Word gives us a clear picture of what He is like. One way He reveals Himself is through the material world, The Bible says that the heavens "declare the glory of God" and  "pour forth speech" about the Author of Creation  (Ps 191-2 NIV). They are telling of His strength and magnificence. Likewise, the wind, waves, and natural disasters show forth the power of our awesome God. And in a similar way, all the cycles of nature, with their vivid colors and changing patterns, tell of our Maker's creative genius."

Now is the season for really approaching God's Word not just for the story, but to renew our believe in who God really is. God bless you and your family. Merry Christmas and a Glorious New Year. PJ Dalton

The Way that HE loves.

Thank YOU LORD
It's that time again!! How trite to always say this every year. We are to be thankful everyday for every minute. I think always reflecting on God's wonderful character and love is a start.

The Way That HE LOVES

The way that HE LOVES is as fair as the day
that blesses my way with light.
The way that he loves is as soft as the breeze
caressing the trees at night

So tender and precious is HE, contented with Jesus I'll be.

The way that HE LOVES is so thrilling because HIS LOVE reaches even me.

I love Thee I love Thee I love Thee oh LORD

Praise The Lord
When you're up against a struggle that shatters all your dreams, and your hopes have been cruelly crushed by Satan's manifested scheme. And you feel the urge to submit to earthly fears, don't let the faith you're standin' in seem to disappear.
Praise the Lord, He can work through those who praise Him. Praise the Lord, for our God inhabits praise.  Brown Banister/Mike Hudson

Take Abraham for instance, God told him to go to a destination, build an altar, and sacrifice his only son. The same son Abraham had been promised by God to be the beginning of many nations. The one whom Sarah had laughed about when God told her she would conceive.

Think of the many times we have been spared during a trial and the Lord has worked out a miracle in the situation. Did we praise Him? Thank Him for it. Did we even connect it to God? Did you instead think that you worked it out yourself?

Thought for the day; look for the miracle in today and Praise The Lord for it.

Love story of Hosea and Gomer

Today I am going on with Hosea and Gomer's story, only because I am fascinated by Hosea's love for her. I remember a study on Proverbs where the speaker said,"Love remembers only the right things."

Do we remember only the right things about our spouse, children, family members, friends, neighbors, when we are angry at them? Have we been mad at them for years and never rid ourselves of what we have harbored in our heart against them? Do you even remember why you were mad?

Hosea could have drug out all of the unpleasant things about Gomer, (and there were plenty), but he didn't. Hosea remembered all of the good things.  Hosea had God's love for her and saw her with God's eyes. God doesn't care about the mess we are, He picks us up where we are and starts again. Forgiveness is as close as the mention of His name.

When Gomer's life spiraled out of control, Hosea didn't say I told you so. Gomer was in bondage. She never experienced God's love and she didn't really believe in man's love. She needed a revelation.

That revelation came on the auction block. Hosea bought and paid all that he had for Gomer. Hosea in Chapter 2: verse 14,15 says,

"Behold I will allure her, will bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfort to her. And I will give her her vineyards from there, and the
Valley of Achor as a door of hope;.......

Thought for today, say to yourself, "Today, I choose to forgive__name ."

Going Forward Never Looking Back

I have decided to have this blog, reflect my love for Jesus Christ. I want to show this by sharing somethings that I have learned lately.

In studying the book of Hosea, I learned that this book is about redemption and amazing love. This book shows us God's undying love for us, His love for His people, and a man's love for his wife.

Ch-8 tells us that we have been pursued by God. God stands at the door and knocks and if we open the door and invite Him, He will come in. The bare bones of this first part is simply this.. Hosea was a minor prophet that served God during the reign of King Jeraboam, a very wicked king.

Sometimes God moves us into something puzzling..IE God told Hosea to go and take a wife of harlotry, He found Gomer. She bore Hosea a son, then a daughter, and then another son. After about 3 years she then told Hosea that she wanted to return to her first husband for it was better then. Gomar like Lots' wife looked back and saw that the past was better than the present. ("Your past does not determine your destiny.")
Hosea saw Gomer's discontentment. We will see what happens to Gomer and Hosea another time. Thought for the day: Yesterday had it's time and will never be again. Satan has a way of taken past days and filtering then in our minds eye as special and magical. That's all it is magic. Our God wants us to never revisit the past unless we use it to teach others. We cannot long for the past because we waste precious moments of the future in doing so. We must live with Jesus in each moment of the present.
