During this time of the beginning of the New Year I have been reading IN TOUCH MINISTRIES little daily devotions book. I don't always have time to read these because I do Bible study with hubby on our Sunday School quarterly. There is also reading 3 chapters a day in order to read the Bible in one year. However, I want to share some of these devotions from Dr. Stanley's sermons.
GOD'S PLAN FOR OUR LIVES
Consider 3 things.
1. Glorifying God- As our life increasingly follows the pattern of the savior's, our thoughts and responses will bring Jesus' praise and point other people to Him.
2. Conforming to Christ's likeness- If we submit our minds and emotions to the Lord, His Spirit will built Jesus' character qualities into our life.
3, Following the Lord's will- "Is this in line with God's known will?" Wherever you are, don't let yourself be pressured into actions or decisions that would be displeasing to God, Wait on Him, and do not step ahead until you have an answer.

You will have a more pleasing life if you can praise the Lord in all things. Look for ways to turn a specifically negative situation in to a more positive one just believing that Jesus will make a miracle. He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

Today I came across an article from IN TOUCH MINISTRIES. I  would like to share it with you.

"THE GOD WHO REVEALS HIMSELF" :-Hebrews 1: 1-4

"People have all kinds of distorted impressions of God. As a result, their view of life is awry-- for example, they may think life is just a matter of fate. But the Lord of the universe leaves nothing to chance.

Because God wants us to approach life correctly, His Word gives us a clear picture of what He is like. One way He reveals Himself is through the material world, The Bible says that the heavens "declare the glory of God" and  "pour forth speech" about the Author of Creation  (Ps 191-2 NIV). They are telling of His strength and magnificence. Likewise, the wind, waves, and natural disasters show forth the power of our awesome God. And in a similar way, all the cycles of nature, with their vivid colors and changing patterns, tell of our Maker's creative genius."

Now is the season for really approaching God's Word not just for the story, but to renew our believe in who God really is. God bless you and your family. Merry Christmas and a Glorious New Year. PJ Dalton
